TRANSFIGURATION

TS2025 BUS TOUR | MAY 17 - 18

The Transforming Spaces (TS) Committee is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated Art Bus Tour will take place this year on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18 under the theme TRANSFIGURATION!

TRANSFIGURATION

Transfiguration seeks to root the annual tour back into its origins, encouraging artists, gallerists, and spaces to reformat and represent their practices to the broader community. The act of transfiguring is “a striking change in appearance, or character, or circumstances.” As physical transformation is often expected, we ask participants to consider experiential transformation, push the boundaries of transformation, and use limitations to their advantage.

Bus Information

Prestige Transit is the bus company who will make this event a comfortable ride! The best part is that drinks and snacks are allowed on the buses this year!

There will be six buses each day and, as usual, a TS Tour Guide will be on board to make your journey an informative and exciting one!

The Central Bank of The Bahamas will be TS20’s Bus Depot and Buses will leave PROMPTLY at 9am from the parking lots, so please ensure that you arrive at least 15 minutes earlier to secure your seat. We also encourage persons with the same colour tickets to CARPOOL as much as possible!

Free parking will be available for ticket holders as follows:

BLUE, YELLOW, & RED ticket holders will park at the Central Bank’s DUKE STREET (Shirley Street) parking lot;

GREEN, ORANGE, & PURPLE ticket holders will park at the Central Bank’s MARKET STREET parking lot. Both parking lots will be monitored by security.

A light breakfast will be provided by Dunkin’ Donuts Bahamas at each parking lot at 8:15 a.m. before boarding. Lunch will be provided by the Central Bank of The Bahamas’ midway through the tour to ‘refuel’ before boarding for another adventure!
